The Container Ship Safety Forum e.V. is governed by the Member Meeting and by a member-elected Management Board. At present, Søren Thuen (DPA & Head of Safety, Nautical & Assurance at Fleet Management & Technology, Maersk A/S) and Alfred Gomez (Director Marine Services at Seaspan Ship Management Ltd.) are Members of the Management Board.

Further, the CSSF e.V. has contracted a Secretariat for administration and management tasks.
The Secretariat is operated by Claas-Heye Diekmann of PCCG Point Conception Consulting GmbH located in Hamburg, Germany.
