CSSF e.V. welcomes Britannia P&I Club as Associated Member

CSSF is pleased to welcome Britannia P&I as a new Associated Member.

Hamburg, Germany – The Container Ship Safety Forum e.V. (CSSF) is pleased to announce that The Britannia Steam Ship Insurance Association Europe (Britannia P&I Club) has joined the CSSF as an Associated Member.

Britannia is a member of the International Group of P&I Clubs. It provides Protection and Indemnity (P&I) and Freight, Demurrage and Defence (FD&D) cover to several leading container lines, and loss prevention is a core part of its service to members.

“P&I clubs see the consequences of incidents across many fleets, and that gives them a valuable view of where safety risks build up. Britannia’s loss prevention experience complements what our members learn from their own operations, and we look forward to working with them on the practical safety challenges our industry faces.”

Swapnodeep Mondal, Second Chairman of the CSSF

“Loss prevention works best when it is shaped by the people who manage the ships and their seafarers. Joining the CSSF gives us the opportunity to learn directly from container ship operators, share what we see across our membership, and contribute to practical improvements in safety on board.”

Jacob Damgaard, Head of Loss Prevention at Britannia
